A teenage girl at the end of her rope phones a helpline in order to open up about her experiences with her abusive parents and to confess the violent thoughts she feels towards them. However, things take a dark turn as it appears the voice on the other end of the line may not be who he seems, as his advice becomes increasingly sinister.
The project will be shot in a house in Lowestoft.
We require a female actor aged 18-25 who looks young enough to play a teenager. Ideally the actor will live in reasonably close to Lowestoft and can make their own way to set.
Travel and food expenses will be covered.
The project will most likely be seen online when completed, on a platform such as YouTube. We are student filmmakers and so the experience we have involves working on previous student films.
In terms of what will be required of the actor, as the piece is very dialogue heavy, they will have to be good as delivering longer stretches of dialogue and remembering them.
Unpaid – this is a collaboration opportunity - 6 hrs
Expenses paid - Travel and food.
Collaborations should create mutual benefit and are usually amateur, student or 'Time for Print' projects.

The character, Haley, is extremely vulnerable and scared, and so the performance will need to effectively convey this emotion. The character is deeply traumatised due to the abuse she faces from her cruel parents and is looking to escape the pain they put her through, and she may turn to dark places to achieve this; she has a violent and dark side that she tries to repress, and so this dangerous anger and resentment will also need to be conveyed.
