Two distinct shows from similar comedic eras.
"The Melbourne Cup Murders" follows a detective as she tries to figure out why cups are being murdered in the streets.
"The Tartan Curse" sees the demise of humanity as it collapses into a Scottish nightmare.
We are looking for actors of high wit and silly sensibilities. These are primarily voice acting roles, though an amount of physical acting may be required.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production datesAuditions will be held on 22 May, either via Zoom or in person in Gisborne, Victoria (based on your preference).
You will deliver a monologue or comedic routine that showcases your comedic abilities. You will also cold read selected scenes. The director will go through some of the more challenging components of the play with you.
Successful applicants will then be required to attend regular rehearsals from 23 May 2021 until showtime.
Unpaid – this is a collaboration opportunity - Independent theatre company offering profit share.
Collaborations should create mutual benefit and are usually amateur, student or 'Time for Print' projects.
The announcer is the voice of the show. A refined, strong voice who guides the audience through the silliness of the show. Whilst you are the gravitas of the performance, you will need to have a very good sense of comedic timing. We are looking for that 1940s BBC-esque presence and commanding voice.
