This is a comic TVC that follows the impact of high energy costs on a man who receives his bill then goes into Billshock.

Our crew of Powermedics race to his rescue amidst the watchful eyes of nosey neighbours, family and attentive dog. Our Hero with the help of his Powermedics comes to his rescue and saves our man from billshock.

So if not so subtle comedy is your gig...this is your role.

It's shot on location in the front of a suburban Melbourne cream brick veneer with the old caravan and trampoline in the garden.

This will be shot in a single day, mid-May. pending final cast & crew schedules.

We have produced many TVC's over the past 20 years with some of Melbourne's finest crew.

I look forward to seeing some great applicants.

Male Lead - Dad

Although a non-speaking role - This is a key role as the 'Billshocked' homeowner. The successful applicant will have a background in comic acting a very expressive face and the ability to bring extra to the role. This character is an everyday relaxed bloke who just wants to sit and watch some footy with a beer on his weekend. He's a little rough around the edges and not really what you'd call in the prime physical condition...but a kind looking fun, bloke who loves his kids, family and dog.

Male, aged 35 to 55

Male or Female - Paramedic COMIC (2 roles)

This is a role for a comic character actor who has great understanding of comic timing and experience playing off another actor in front of camera. This is a feature speaking role, so your voice and delivery will also be important. You must have a warm and friendly disposition and physical ability to manage medical equipment such as trolley etc.

Anyone, aged 26 to 50

Mother

A non speaking support role. An everyday mother - down-to-earth, suburban Australian, mid to late 30s, with a husband, 10-12 year old boy and pet dog. She's a battler, who's always cooking or cleaning - but with a relaxed outlook on life. She is very house proud and devoted to her family, who love and support each other. She has an expressive, yet warm face and with Just one look at her husband, he immediately knows that she is devoted to him. Think Sal Kerrigan from the movie 'The Castle'

Female, aged 31 to 44

Child

This non-speaking role support role - could be for a girl or boy. BOY - 10-12 year old boy is a ruff-and-ready, suburban Aussie kid, who stands out from the crowd. A bit ordinary, and a bit quirky. He might have freckles, be a bit overweight, or rocking a mullet...anything goes with this kid. GIRL - Bit of a tomboy mixed with her won quirky style - happier in a tree than a dress. Both relaxed in front of the camera and doesn't shy away from a cuddle from Mum.
