John works as a stage manager at his local theatre. He dreams of performing the classics on stage, but his reserved, shy temperament and stage fright has held him back. We see him go about his business, prepping for the company’s latest show; one night, thinking the theatre is empty, he takes to the stage and performs a Shakespearean piece. Unbeknownst to him, some actors are still around and catch his performance.
This short film has minimal dialogue, save the monologue John's character performs which will be the Hollow Crown piece from Shakespeare's Richard II.
This is a student production, it will be shot in one location with a small crew.

John is a quiet, reserved person who generally avoids drawing attention to himself. As a fan of classic literature and plays, he would love to perform them; but his shyness holds him back. Although shy, his performance of the Hollow Crown monologue is inspiring. Experience with Shakespearean texts is preferred for this role.
