About the Academy
The Academy is a Performing Arts specialist and purely teaches students DANCING, ACTING and SINGING.
The Academy is of mixed gender.
Students ages: 3 to 19 years old.
Contract: Permanent on part time hours (based on passing first 3 months trial)
Days/hours: 1 day a week based on 3 working hours starting from 5pm to 8pm
Academy runs for 48 weeks a year with 2 weeks break for Christmas and 2 weeks break in summer.
Class size: 20 maximum per 30 minutes session
Pay: Starting from £8.50 an hour (depending on experience)
Outstanding potential for CPD within the Academy including potential of more hours, more pay, promotion to line mangers and the opportunity to become a principle of your own franchise working for the Academy.
Dancers Candidate requirements:
Teaching experience: preferable whilst not required as training is provided by the Academy.
Dancing experience: yes - The Academy requires experienced Dancers to work with, and experience in the field is a must to fit the role.
Candidates should have a diverse understanding or all Dancing genres to fulfill the standard required for teaching the Academies students.
Trained in Dance: Yes – Dancers should have a form of qualification in Dance that supports their application for the role.
The candidate should be an outstanding performer to be able to take on the role in its fullest and to teach youngsters at the Academy the Dance profession at a high standard to achieve the ultimate best results from the Academies young talent attending each week.
Candidates must be passionate about Dancing and the world of Dance.
Candidates must be committed to the role and excellent with time keeping.
Candidates must be inspired to make a difference with our youngsters and be able to continuously push the best out of all students.
Candidates must have a passion, care and understating of children needs and are required to be DBS checked.
Candidates are preferred to have experience in working with children and should have a sense of pride in developing children's performance ability supporting their dreams for the Performing Arts.
Candidates to have the flexibility to organise/plan practical lessons each week.
Candidate employed by the Academy can enjoy being creative with their passion of Dance through this rewarding profession. Working through the Academy's bespoke set up, provides flexibility to our employee’s creativity within the Academy.
Successful candidates can build on their own Dancing careers with this job position and with consideration to the flexible hours allowing plenty of time to continue with personal Dancing jobs whilst at the same time as working with the Academy and gaining a good part time financial benefit supporting them with their other possible endeavors.
Teaching at the Academy will provide Dancers an impressive portfolio and a priceless experience in teaching youngster the fine art of Dance and the necessary skills needed to make it in the industry whilst without any doubt helps to build confidence self-esteem for the students and a great fulfillment for the teaching staff responsible for the student’s success.
