It will likely be a handful of songs, enough for an EP. This will be in the style of modern r&b artists such as Ella Mai but with an additional 80's synth funk influence.
I am ideally looking to work with an up and coming artist with intermediate to advanced vocal ability. Male or female vocal is fine and location is not an issue as we will work remotely.
I will handle all production, from songwriting to mixing and mastering. Ideally, if you are the right artist you will be able to provide your own lyrics and melodies, although this is not essential.
As we are working remotely you must have the facility to record high quality vocals and send them to me. If you do not have a home recording facility this may not be the project for you as I do not cover studio fees. You are welcome to come to me if you happen to be in the North of England!
Payment wise, we will do a 50/50 split on the royalties, with production credits to me and writing credits divided accordingly. I will have all songs registered with PRS/MCPS.
There is no hard deadline for this project, but I would ideally like to be starting work the last quarter of the year. As an emerging producer, I am looking to work with the right person and am not in a hurry, and you as the artist must be confident that I am the right fit for you as well. Please refer to my website for examples of my sound.
This should be a fun project for us both to work on and if you are an emerging artist this is a great opportunity to get a handful of radio standard tracks recorded and released. I will be using this as part of my portfolio so it is in my interest to make anything we release the best it can be.
If you do want to apply, please send me a link to your music.
Look forward to hearing from you.
