I started out, & continue with, TFP shoots as all beginners do. I focused on Lingerie, as clearly shown in my Photo Gallery. Most of these have been for students' projects, or photographers' concept projects that I have believed in and happy to participate in.
However shoots I am lining up are more casual to add to my portfolio, as these are more my style at the moment. I have continued in 2021 to shoot fashion, and simplistic shoots. Discontinuing Lingerie & Boudoir as a style from my repitoire since returning to modelling.
My inspiration is drawn from late 70s & 80s editorial shoots, and I am pushing myself to learn from the legends with the next shoots I have lined up from May/June 2021.
Earlier in 2018, in June, I was approached by the NZ representative of a vape juice company by the name of Nasty Juice. They followed my Instagram, and liked my energy. They invited me to be their model for their commercial advertisement showing off their new juice flavour - with an enticement vibe.
This was a video advertisement and can be found here > https://www.instagram.com/p/BklXuPGDK3x/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=6r6j2j0traw4
There were also teaser pictures taken for this shoot which are here > https://www.instagram.com/p/BkPbaLpDrND/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=197ycuajcjf6t
The entire concept of this advertisement was that the Vape Juice flavour completely "transports & transforms" the consumer into another world where they are king/queen and the flavour makes them feel incredible.
I have included some sample pictures of my paid modelling shoots in my photo gallery. The black & white shadow play shots, taken in Tauranga. Then the black & pink lingerie, and the red lingerie shots are from the same shoot - taken just outside of The Awamutu.
I have done hair modelling in the past for 3-4 years, from when I was 14 - 17. I modelled for Team 7 Hairdressing in Te Awamutu, and once for Vivo Hair Studio in Hamilton. Working with both was an absolute dream. I didn't care what colour, cut, style, or final outfit I was given - I just loved to see them succeed at what they did. And I was happy to receive such expensive hair change in exchange for modelling.
The modelling aspect included posing for long periods of time, receiving feedback, and of course - lots of practicing.
The second aspect was the catwalk. Before the competitions each year, the team would have us come in and practice our catwalk on their concrete floor, gravel, sidewalk etc. This was walked in a variety of suitable
& 'unsuitable'' shoes, for up to 6 runways a competition.
The final aspect of the hair modelling was the camera shots. This is where I first learned how to pose. Even before I allowed myself to have the guts to pursue modelling. Unfortunately I don't have access to each years shots. I'll put up the first ever modelling shot I have though from my first hair modelling - as someone bought that for me.
