The Place We Call Home (When Opportunity Knocks):
The Place we call home was a 9 month project for my BA Art and Design Course (Provided by Oxford Brookes) The 15 minute documentary was a subject of opportunity for those in their early 20s, and how they handle opportunity when they come from a place that doesn't have much to offer. I had to undertake the role as both a producer and a director. The project also consisted a heavy amount of research in order to prepare for the filming.
This project required a very small team of people and enabled me to gain confidence to also be on screen whilst interviewing the subject.
The film was edited using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premier Pro. And later I was involved with setting up an exhibition where the film could be shown publicly.
