I have recent experience working as a lead artist and supporting artist in very different productions.
My most recent film experience was playing the lead role in a short comedy film produced by Melting Point Media. I played Kate who goes on a date, completely unaware that her disapproving young daughter has a secret plan to ruin everything. This involved a lot of strong reaction shots as Kate's daughter makes her date act appallingly throughout.
My most recent theatre experience was playing the lead character of Grel in a piece of work by Superposition Productions. This piece explored identity and what happens when we lose the feeling of who we are. This was essentially a conversation between two characters on stage and so involved a lot of in-depth character development to maintain the attention of the audience.
I have also recently played the lead shooting a scene from the film Paris, Texas. I thoroughly enjoyed this as the Director was looking at the concept of memory and how we can all recall things differently. Therefore, we shot the scene several different ways and with different emotions and so it was necessary to be able to think quickly to react to the new directions.
I have been involved in a short film, where I played Olivia, a bored socialite, who attends a murder mystery party, which goes very wrong. This entire short film was shot around a dining table with only five other actors. The relationship between the different characters was vital to the story line so it was important to maintain the dynamics and tension throughout the two day shoot.
I have also taken a part of a reporter in a feature film called Zombie Women of Satan 2. This was really interesting as it was all improvised. I was given the general story and told the points that the Director wanted me to highlight but then it was filmed as an improvised conversation between the reporter and the news anchorman.
