Adam Rickitt, Coronation Street & Shortland Street Star
| StarNow: | As a young guy finishing his GAP year how did you feel when you landed the role of Nick Tilsley on Coronation Street? | | Adam: | It was such a huge shift and eye opener. To go from the sheltered world of boarding school to suddenly the biggest show in the country at my very first audition was not only incredibly lucky but daunting and a huge change. |
| StarNow: | On Coronation Street who did you enjoy working alongside? | | Adam: | I was really lucky in that there was a group of young cast on the show at the same time, and was really chuffed to be able to work and play with Stephen Arnold, Joe Froggir and Jane Dawson. |
| StarNow: | You are now a cast member on the New Zealand soap Shortland Street, what was it that attracted you to taking this role? | | Adam: | 100% the first thing that attracted me here was the character himself. There is such duplicity to him with real shades of light and dark, and also a strength which is so exciting to play, and by far my favourite character to date. When people ask about it all I can say is that I feel so challenged and lucky everyday that it was enough for me to pack my bags and leave everything and everyone I have ever loved 12,000 miles away. |
