“Never-ending, Ever-changing” is a VCA 2nd year master’s final project by writer/director Amir Rezaei & producer Jason O’Leary (VCA master of producing). It is a 15’ short film about a woman who wants to become pregnant but her lover falls in love with a pregnant woman.

The production is scheduled for 7-8 days between 9-19 July 2012, all day shoots and interiors except for a few shots at the Bourke St. Shopping Mall. Two major locations are a flat in Hawthorn East and a house close to the CBD.

Writer/director’s bio:

Amir has been trained as an Architect in Tehran University, Iran. He immigrated to Australia in 2006 and attended VCA (2009) for a career change. Later he joined RMIT where he graduated with high distinction (HD) with the 40’ film “One Whispers, The Other Shouts” which was awarded the best drama (2011) and led him back to the VCA to finish his master’s degree.

Producer’s bio:

Jason graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Enterprise and is currently studying the Master of Producing at the VCA. Jason has produced theatre in the UK and has worked as an actor’s agent as a director of KT Management (with Tony Nikolakopoulos). He produced the comedy pilot teaser “You Don’t Know Jack” starring George Kapiniaris based on his experiences at KT Management.

The film will be screened (3 times) at ACMI as a part of the VCA Graduate Screening in December. The production has a secured budget for the film to be entered into major international film festivals during 2013-14.

The shoot will be meticulously organised, well catered and you will be reimbursed for the transport and other costs.

Positions:

We are after a dedicated Production Assistants (Car/License essential).

Also needed are first & second camera assistants who have worked with RED camera and a gaffer with experience in low-key lighting and replicating natural light.

Production designers who feel they can contribute to the aesthetic of the film are welcome. Please refer to the last film as the major location will be the same.

Due to the nature of the production and minimal/intimate crew we need one person who can manage the Hair, Make-up and Costume department.
