Casting Call for "10-57" the movie.

SYNOPSIS: Missing Person Unit’s Detective Jane Scott is considered a hero, even though the humbled woman is simply doing her job when she recovers hostages from kidnapping for ransom situations. However the rules of the game are thrown out the window when two kids go missing and the suspected abductor is her, former partner and one time lover, Ray Unic. Due to an incident in the line of duty, this one time hero as well, now suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and clouded by his obsession for Detective Scott, he is able to stay one step ahead of the cops, knowing their exact procedure for kidnapping for ransom cases. Detective Jane Scott tracks her certifiable ex partner to an old farmhouse and goes toe to toe with him, knowing that this volatile situation could explode at any moment.

Casting Notes:
While this is not currently a union shoot, we encourage union members to submit resumes, head shots, and actors reels, as we intend to work with unions if suitable members are interested. This is a paid shoot. Principle photography is currently scheduled to begin May 1, 2010 and continue to June 15, 2010. Actual on-set requirements will depend on your role and the shooting schedule.

Preference will be given to actors from Northern Ontario.

Lead Police Detective

Jane Scott is a fit and attractive (not necessarily beautiful) detective with the Missing Person's Unit. She has a calm quiet strength, and cares deeply about her job and the people she is protecting.

Females, aged 35 to 40 from Canada


Police Captain

Strong willed, loud personality. Cares deeply for his officers.
Patterson is an aging man, close to retirement. He has sharp features, grey or white hair, and a medium build.

Males, aged 55 to 65 from Canada


Shay

A new mother, average physique, braided hair, colourfully dressed. She was born in a poor neighborhood, and thus has a tough personality. She is mouthy and generally rude. She is the girlfriend of one of the antagonists in the story.

Females, aged 25 to 30 from Canada


KATO

Short dark hair, with muscled build. Not necessarily a bad person, but has made many bad choices in life. Grew up in a rough neighborhood in poverty. Turned to a life of petty crime to survive.
His main concern is looking out for his girlfriend and their child, regardless of whether his actions are legal or not

Males, aged 25 to 35 from Canada


Brandon

Caucasian, average height/weight for his age. Brandon is a responsible and caring young man. He is mature for his age, studious, and well mannered. He comes from a close knit well to do family.

Males, aged 12 to 16 from Canada


Torez

Aboriginal/Latin American/Hispanic/Spanish.
Average build, attractive face. Torez is a close friend and confidant of the lead protagonist in the story. She is a rookie detective or veteran front line officer, with about 5 years on the force. Though serious and tough, she is a caring person, and especially towards her friends.
